After floating in space for 57 years in a cryogenic sleep, Lieutenant Ripley is found by a salvage team of space marines. The moon that the original Nostromo discovered has been colonised, but contact has been lost. Upon arriving there, Ripley and her team find only one survivor: a little girl named Newt (Carrie Henn). But even these tough military soldiers and their cutting-edge weaponry are no match for the hundreds of aliens that have invaded the colony.
Replacing the slow atmosphere-building of the original Alien for visceral, fast-paced action, James Cameron’s superb sequel is a more than worthy follow-up and a classic in its own right.
