BIFA presents: Moon (15) [35mm]

Sam Rockwell stars in the enigmatic 2009 debut of director Duncan Jones.

Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diminish our planet's power problems.

“Moon is an old-fashioned sci-fi movie in the best sense: far more psychological drama than space opera, dispensing with overweening CGI and loud flashy action sequences while harking back to subtler, more ideas-driven entries in the genre.” – Sight & Sound

  • Director: Duncan Jones
  • Cast: Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey
  • Language: English
