Edgin Darvis (Chris Pine) is a charming thief who raises his daughter Kira with his friend Holga after his wife is murdered by a Red Wizard. Given the chance of resurrecting his wife with the help of an ancient magical tablet, he gathers a group of skilled companions to assist him in his quest—but things go dangerously awry when the makeshift team fall afoul of the wrong people.
