Gunda (PG)

With beautiful cinematography, this ingenious documentary invites you to view the lives of a pig, two cows and a one-legged chicken through new eyes.

Cinema in its purest form, Gunda chronicles the lives of a mother sow, a flock of chickens and a herd of cows with masterful intimacy, exploring the inherent value of life in the process.

Using beautiful black-and-white cinematography and the farm’s ambient soundtrack, master director Victor Kossakowsky invites the audience to slow down and experience life as his subjects do. In doing so, Gunda takes us into the mystery of animal consciousness, and the role humanity plays in it.
