A young boy escapes his two cruel aunts, befriending some loveable human-sized bugs inside a giant peach.
James Trotter is a young orphan living with the two cruel aunts after his parents were eaten by a rhinoceros. After a chance encounter with some mysterious magic, James grows a massive peach in his back garden. After eating through the centre of the peach, the young boy uncovers several human-sized bugs, and an adventure begins to flee from his aunts and cross the Atlantic to New York City.
Directed by Henry Selick (the genius behind The Nightmare Before Christmas), this 1996 stop-motion adventure is a classic adaptation of Roald Dahl’s work, packed full of inventiveness and charm.
