After 40 years in Egypt and a conversion to Islam, Felice (Pierfrancesco Favino) returns to his hometown of Naples to visit his ill mother. As he tries to reconnect with his language and culture, he finds himself falling foul of the city's codes and secret places, unintentionally ruffling the feathers of a local crime boss and being brought face to face with his past.
