David Tennant makes a much-anticipated return to the West End in a blistering reimagining of C.P. Taylor’s powerful political drama.
John Halder is an intelligent, liberally-minded German literary professor, working in Frankfurt as the world approaches its second World War. He is devoted to his wife and children and does his best to look after his aged mother. His best friend is a Jewish psychiatrist. But as National Socialism takes hold in his country, a chilling moral detachment begins to make itself apparent in Halder’s emotional makeup.
With a masterfully unnerving performance from Tennant, Good has been described as the definitive piece of theatre written about the Holocaust. Olivier Award-winner Dominic Cooke (Follies) directs C.P. Taylor’s timely tale, with a cast that also features Elliot Levey (Coriolanus) and Sharon Small (The Bay). Filmed live at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London.
