Spencer (12A)

Pablo Larraín’s drama imagines what might have happened during Christmas celebrations at Sandringham Estate as Princess Diana decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.

The marriage of Princess Diana (Kristen Stewart) and Prince Charles (Jack Farthing) has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s (Stella Gonet) Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be a whole lot different.

Spencer is ‘rich and intoxicating and altogether magnificent’ (The Guardian), featuring a ‘subtle and uncannily precise’ (Evening Standard) central performance from Stewart.
