Join us for a special screening of the much-anticipated film Tell Me About It, along with cast and crew Q&A. A true indie film that tells an original story of identity, diversity and embracing differences.
Shot in Bradford, the film tells the story of rebellious British Pakistani teenagers Amara and Halima, who plan a secret escape from Bradford to London, away from their dominating parents. But everything goes horribly wrong when Amara is suddenly kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity.
During this dramatic coincidence, Amara and the kidnapper find themselves set against each other in a surprising way. One seems to have power and is afraid to lose it, the other begins to find it for the first time.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A with the cast and creative team to discuss the film and their experiences working in the film industry.
You can read an interview with the film's writer and director, Suman Hanif, on our blog.
This event is part of The Future is Northern, a series of special events which explore what the future holds for Northern film and programme making, and give you the chance to uncover your own screen skills. Programmed alongside our Switched On exhibition.
