Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain play wealthy Londoners, speeding to a lavish party in the Moroccan desert when they are involved in a tragic accident.
Everything must be faced. David and Jo Henninger (Fiennes and Chastain) are a rich British couple, travelling to Morocco in an effort to ease the strain that has been building between them. Eager to attend their friend's celebration, they hit and kill a Moroccan teenager. Arriving late at the grand villa with the debauched party raging, the couple attempt to cover up the incident with the collusion of the local police. But when the boy's father arrives seeking justice, the stage is set for a tension-filled culture clash where David and Jo must come to terms with their fateful act and its consequences.
