Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (15)

The critically acclaimed, darkly comedic tale, selected by our cinema programming volunteers to celebrate the Academy Award Winning performance from Frances McDormand for Women’s History Month.

Mildred Hayes, a hard-nosed mother, is seeking justice for her murdered daughter. With no arrests after seven months, Mildred puts up three roadside signs to goad Ebbing police chief into action. But the law—and especially Sam Rockwell's hot-headed deputy—don't take kindly to the provocation, and the townsfolk are on their side. But Mildred doesn't care about ruffling a few feathers. In fact, she's happy to pluck the whole bird.

Volunteer film programming

This screening is the final in a series of events by our young programmers group of local cinema lovers screening film they want Bradford to see. Our volunteers Lauren, Maverick, Haider, Patrick, Jenifer and Armaan wanted to choose a film that celebrated Women’s History Month.

This film has been chosen to celebrate several significant aspects, including Frances McDormand's stunning performance as the unyielding Mildred, who dominates the screen in her relentless pursuit of justice for her daughter.
