Till (12A)

The true story of Emmett Till, whose murder in 1955 in Mississippi drew the world’s attention to the emergent Civil Rights movement.

Mamie Till-Mobley is a widowed single mother, the head of her household and the only Black woman working for the Air Force in Chicago. After her 14-year-old son Emmett is lynched in Mississippi, she becomes a revolutionary, displaying his body in an open casket as an act of defiance against oppression and hate and giving the crime public notoriety.

Cinematic and emotionally wrenching, with a tremendous lead performance by Danielle Deadwyler, Till shows how a mother's grief turned to action has the power to change the world.
