A drama telling the captivating story of Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomins, and her turbulent search for identity, love and freedom.

While focusing on her painting career, Tove Jansson (Alma Pöysti) finds the enchanting tales of the Moomin creatures she told to children in bomb shelters rapidly take on a life of their own, bringing international fame and what she feels is freedom. But her desire for liberty is put to the test when she meets theatre director Vivica Bandler (Krista Kosonen), who ignites an electric and all-consuming love in her. As she begins to find her artistic identity, she discovers that true love is far more complex.
