True Things (15)

Bored by the daily tedium of her office job, a woman is drawn into an intoxicating but dangerous obsession with a mysterious man after a chance romantic encounter.

Kate (Ruth Wilson) is sleepwalking through life when a one-night stand with a charismatic stranger (Tom Burke) awakens her. High on infatuation and exhilaration, she feels herself drawn to this enigmatic new figure and hopes he will provide the escape she so desperately desires—not realising she is on an emotionally perilous journey that slowly begins to consume her. Adapted from Deborah Kay Davies’ novel True Things About Me, Harry Wootliff’s new film is an intense and absorbing psychological drama.
