The Velvet Queen: Snow Leopard (12A)

High up on the Tibetan plateau, among unexplored and inaccessible valleys, a renowned wildlife photographer searches for the elusive snow leopard.

Vincent Munier is one of the world’s leading fine art wildlife photographers. Taking the adventurer and novelist Sylvain Tesson with him, he heads into one of the last sanctuaries of the wild world, where undiscovered fauna dwells. For several weeks they explore these valleys, searching for unique animals and trying to spot the snow leopard, one of the rarest and most difficult big cats to approach. With incredible cinematography and a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, The Velvet Queen ponders humankind’s place among Earth’s most magnificent creatures and formidable landscapes.
