Wonderlab

DURATION: 30 minutes
GROUP SIZE: Maximum 80

Visit our most interactive gallery and get hands-on with science. In Wonderlab, students can investigate how light and sound work through an amazing range of fun, interactive exhibits. By experimenting, playing and exploring, they will learn about how light and sound are the building blocks of the technology we use every day.

Science on a Sphere

PRICE: First talk £2 per person; second show free
DURATION: 20 minutes each
GROUP SIZE: Maximum 40

Sea Ice Melt: Meet our Explainers around the interactive sphere in Wonderlab to discover how the climate crisis is putting some of the planet’s most incredible animals at risk—and the simple things you can do to help save them.

What’s for Dinner?: A fun immersive show exploring climate change. Students will hear about how population growth and climate change are affecting what foods we can grow, how this impacts our diet, and alternative ways of farming which benefit both humans and wildlife.

IMAX 3D: Antarctica

PRICE: £5.50 per person
DURATION: 45 minutes
GROUP SIZE: Minimum 30; maximum 190

A spectacular 3D documentary in our IMAX cinema—the biggest screen in West Yorkshire—is an exciting and visually stunning way for your students to understand more about our world and the impacts of climate change. Narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, Antarctica uses never-before-seen footage and the latest underwater filming techniques to transport you to Earth’s most mysterious and wild continent.
