Family visits

With free entry and lots to see, the National Science and Media Museum is the perfect place for a family day out.

What to see and do

There’s plenty for families to enjoy at the museum. Explore seven floors of galleries, tuck into lunch in our café, and enjoy a film in one of our three cinemas.

Wonderlab is packed with mind-bending interactive experiments that bring science to life. Our other galleries explore the history of photography, animation, TV and videogames, with lots of hands-on elements to keep young minds occupied.

Accept challenges, battle against your friends and family, and team up to win badges with our Lovie Award-winning app, Treasure Hunters (recommended for ages 5+).

Create a unique tour of the museum that changes every time you play. Then continue the fun at home and make connections between our amazing collection and the objects you use every day.

It’s free to download and taking part is as easy as taking a photo. Get ready to explore, snap and score!
