With eight floors of galleries to explore, plus a programme of films bound to get you talking, we’re pretty sure you’ll want to grab some refreshments during your visit.
Take a break from exploring the museum, meet for a drink before a film, or sit down for a coffee with friends. Offering delicious food and a huge range of drinks, our Media Café and Pictureville Bar have something for everyone.
- Open daily, 10.00–17.00
- Hot food is served until 15.00
Please note: The Media Café will close early, at 16.00, on Thursday 17 January. The Pictureville Bar will be open as usual.
All food is freshly prepared on site using locally sourced ingredients, and vegetarian options are available every day. Our menu includes handmade pizzas, soups, deli sandwiches and salads, and homemade cakes, plus kids’ meal deals.
The Media Café is wheelchair-accessible. Highchairs are available and we support the Breastfeeding Welcome scheme.
Open daily, 10.00–late
Pictureville Bar is open to everyone, whether you’re visiting our cinemas or not—it’s the perfect place for an evening get-together.
We offer tasty sharing platters, great for grabbing a bite with friends and family. Also available are organic cakes from Honeyrose Bakery, award-winning Jude’s Ice Cream, a range of teas and fair-trade coffees, and classic cinema snacks.
Why not have a great glass of wine or a thirst-quenching beer too? Our staff are specially trained to help choose the perfect drink to accompany your food.
- Open daily, 10.00–18.00
If you’d prefer to bring your own food, we have two picnic areas: the White Room on Level 0 and Makespace on Level 4.
During term time, these areas are often used by school groups, so please check the availability when you arrive. If the picnic areas are full, there are other areas of the museum you can use for your lunch—just ask a member of staff.
There are easy access toilets and baby changing facilities next to the White Room picnic area.
