We've been working with a group of dedicated volunteers to research pictures related to African Caribbean history from our Daily Herald Archive.
The Daily Herald was the world’s top-selling daily newspaper from the 1930s to the 1960s, and its incredible archive contains over 3 million photographs chronicling significant events of the time.
Our free tour gave an introduction to the museum's collection, the Daily Herald Archive and some of the pictures our volunteers have found within it. The photographs were selected by our Communities & Crowds volunteers Sandra Rowe, Lincoln Anderson and Maureen Rowe.
