We are proud to be the host of the 2017 Science Museum Group Research Conference, exploring the theme of sound and vision in science museums.
The conference takes place between 23 and 24 November. To mark the rebranding and renaming of the National Science and Media Museum, the conference will explore research into sound and vision in museums. It will also showcase research from across the Science Museum Group, our partners, and our collaborators in HEIs.
The full programme will be available shortly, and includes a mix of SMG staff members and CDA students, as well as researchers from UK and international universities.
As well as papers in the plenary sessions, the conference will include round-table discussions, lightning talks and optional live performances, as well as the opportunity to experience the Museum of Portable Sound and ADAPT Live!
Delegates are also invited to a drinks reception and private view of our new exhibition (details to be confirmed).
Delegate fees are £40 per day (£30 per day for students). Buy your tickets online now.
