Plastic Lab at Impressions Gallery

Head to Impressions Gallery to discover a hub of activity looking at the important subject of plastic pollution. Central to the hub is the exhibition Our Plastic Ocean, which explores marine plastic debris through powerful, captivating photographs. There’ll also be creative workshops, gallery tours and a virtual reality experience.

Dance performance

When: 11.00, 13.00

Local dance company ND Dance Academy will perform a thought-provoking piece inspired by our oceans. The dance highlights the effect humankind has had on nature, and the changes we must make to prevent further damage.

Science Busking

Try out quick, fun activities that will ignite your curiosity and improve your science knowledge! Create Star Wars sound effects, learn how sound travels, make a tornado’s vortex and construct a water vessel.

Science Photobooth

Take a photo in our photobooth, or look out for science-themed selfie frames around the festival. Why not share your snap on social media? #bradscifest

Recycling in Bradford

Bradford Council are holding a competition to name their recycling wagon—could yours be the winning entry? You can also visit the Recycle Bradford stand to learn about which materials can be recycled, and how (Sunday 21 July only).

Rehydration Station

Meet Yorkshire Water, visit the ‘Yorkshire on Tap’ water bar and and find out how you can save water and use less plastic (Sunday 21 July only).

Only Expansion

Experience an augmented audio walk around Bradford, combining the sounds of your surroundings with recordings of changing environments from across the globe.

HALE

Bradford’s healthy living charity, HALE, will be visiting the festival to invite you on board their mobile venue. Enjoy family activities, learn about self-care, and find out about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
