Join Noisy Toys for fun family activities, play with sound and discover amazing sounds in everyday objects.

Rebel robot ELI:24 has escaped his universe! Join him to create your own robot character, write a short story and compete in a quiz.

Den of Enquiry

DATE AND TIME: 11.30–12.30, Thursday 28 October

Den of Enquiry gets families talking about democracy by having fun with rhythms and rhymes. Put your critical thinking cap on and join Miranda Duffy from the University of Leeds for a poetry whoosh. Is democracy about more than just voting? Come and find out! Suitable for ages 9+.

SCIENCE SAVING THE WORLD

Find out more about the world around you and explore how science can help with the climate emergency.

  • Bradford Waterways Learn all about Bradford’s waterways, including Bradford Beck and River Aire, and how you can help prevent pollution and flooding. Suitable for ages 5+.
  • Bubble Refill Station Bring along your empty bubble container for a free refill using 50 Things to Do Before You’re Five’s ‘Big Bubble’ recipe! Suitable for all ages.
  • Clean Air Quiz Bradford Council are making changes to fix the problem of air pollution and want to show people why. Meet them, try your hand at the clean air quiz and enjoy other fun activities. Suitable for all ages.
  • Recycle and Reuse What have you got around your home that can be repurposed, recycled and reused? Come along and have a go at making some new things out of old. Suitable for ages 7+.
  • Saving Rivers Starts at Home Can you build the perfect riverside home? Explore how rivers work in a hands-on playful experiment with our giant river model. Suitable for all ages.

This year, we’re celebrating all things sound. Come along and make noise, hear music and experiment with the science of sound.

  • Maths in Music Find out about the maths in music with Explore Learning. Discover how you can use fractions to understand musical notes, then write your own piece of music. Suitable for ages 5+.
