Join us for an online workshop in which you’ll discover weird and wonderful sounds, combine them to make your own, and play along with others.
You’ll have fun exploring a new online interactive exhibit: a found sound online music-making machine! Using objects and sounds such as a lampshade and a frog call, you can sculpt your own quirky sounds and then play them with others online in a real-time jam. You’ll also learn how the BBC Radiophonic Workshop made electronic music before computers—including the Doctor Who theme.
No experience necessary—all you need is a computer with internet access, a smartphone (you will need to scan QR codes), and your imagination.
Suitable for families with children aged 7+.
This workshop will take place online via Zoom. Book your free tickets online and we’ll email you a link at least one hour before the start of the event.
This workshop is intended for all the family to enjoy together—please book tickets for everyone who’ll be participating, including adults.
