Ideas Hub: Join the conversation

This spring, we want to hear from you. Ideas Hub is an opportunity to explore our collection and tell us what you want to see at the museum.

We want to know what the National Science and Media Museum means to you. How should we tell stories from our collection of film, photography, television and sound technology? This is your chance to have a chat with staff, let us know your ideas, and have a lasting impact on how we present our exhibitions and displays.

Ideas Hub will also include a display of our unique objects and work by photographer Tim Smith.

Whether you’re a regular visitor or haven’t stepped foot in the museum in years, we’re inviting you to Ideas Hub. Come along, join the conversation and help shape the stories we tell.

River of Tea: From Bengal to Britain

River of Tea is a series of photographs by Tim Smith, exploring how the early tea trade sparked the migration of people from Bangladesh to Britain. Created in partnership with communities in Bradford, the display also features videos and other imagery to bring this fascinating story to life.

Special events will be announced throughout Ideas Hub—keep checking this page for more details.
