Yorkshire Games Festival 2017 is a homecoming for award-winning VFX and 3D artist Iki Ikram, who started his 25-year career in videogames studying Graphic Design at Bradford College.

We’re excited to welcome Iki back to his hometown as a keynote speaker: he’ll talk about growing up in Bradford, rebelling against cultural and community expectations, and how he came to be one of the most sought-after artists in the games industry.

Over the past seven years, Iki has worked as an FX Artist at Naughty Dog, helping to use visual effects to build an impactful narrative experience on Uncharted 3, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us (pictured above), The Last of Us: Left Behind and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. His team was awarded the 2017 VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Real-Time Project for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

His other work includes IPs such as the PlayStation EyeToy, Singstar, The Getaway, and the Killzone series. Iki is also an applauded fashion and portrait photographer, snapping celebrities across the world.
