Renault ‘Dauphine’ Advert in 3-strip Cinerama

Don’t miss a truly unique screening: this seven-minute film is the only Cinerama advert known to exist.

Join us for a short but sweet screening of classic Cinerama. Made in 1959, this seven-minute promotional film for Renault’s then-new car, the Dauphine, is a real gem; it’s also one of only two shorts photographed in the three-strip process.

Following the car along the production line and finishing up where we began—with a masterful dissolve—this is the only Cinerama advert known to exist.

This screening will be introduced by Dave Strohmaier.
