Get real-world experience of games testing at Team17’s pop-up sessions.

World-renowned Yorkshire developers Team17, creators of Worms and publishers of Overcooked and Yooka-Laylee, are returning to Yorkshire Games Festival with their pop-up usability lab.

Games usability and QA testing combines psychology, sociology and videogames to help make fun accessible, and connects developers to gamers by allowing gamers to do what they do best—game!

Join Team17 to gain real-world experience of what it’s like to test games, give feedback and build your portfolio.

Availability and tickets

The Usability Lab is open to Game Talks passholders. See the main Yorkshire Games Festival page for details of pass types and prices—you can buy your Game Talks Friday pass online.

Usability Lab sessions will run throughout the day on Friday 18 February, with bookable slots available so you can guarantee your spot. Booking details will be announced soon and will be added to this page.

The Usability Lab will be set up in a public area, so even if you miss out on booking a slot, you’ll still be able to observe testing and ask the team questions about QA.
